memantine + dopamine receptor-agonists

This is a combination therapy consisting of memantine and one or more dopamine receptor agonists. Memantine is a small molecule that acts primarily as an N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist, reducing excitotoxicity mediated by glutamate in the central nervous system. It also has been shown to act as an agonist at dopamine D2High receptors, with affinity similar to its action at NMDA receptors[1][4]. Dopamine receptor agonists are a class of drugs that directly stimulate dopamine receptors, commonly used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and other disorders involving dopaminergic dysfunction.
