Overview

A combination of memantine, an NMDA receptor antagonist, and methylphenidate, a central nervous system stimulant. This combination is being investigated for the treatment of ADHD, particularly for improving executive function deficits. Memantine may amplify the effects of methylphenidate on aspects of emotional self-regulation by regulating both prefrontal glutamate and dopamine activity.
