Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MenACWY-CRM + MMRV refers to the co-administration of a quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY-CRM, brand name Menveo) with the measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella vaccine (MMRV). MenACWY-CRM is a conjugate vaccine in which the capsular polysaccharides from Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, W, and Y are conjugated to the diphtheria toxin mutant CRM197. It provides protection against meningococcal serogroups A, C, W, and Y, but not against serogroup B. MMRV provides protection against measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella. Clinical studies have shown that simultaneous administration of these vaccines at 12 months of age is well-tolerated and immunogenic without significant safety concerns.
