Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MenACYW quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine, marketed under the brand name MenQuadfi, is a vaccine developed by Sanofi Pasteur for active immunization against invasive meningococcal disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, W, and Y. The vaccine is formulated by individually conjugating the capsular polysaccharides of these four serogroups to a tetanus toxoid carrier protein, which enhances immunogenicity by recruiting T-cell help. Approved by the FDA in 2020 and the EMA in 2020, MenQuadfi is administered as a single intramuscular injection and is indicated for individuals aged 6 weeks and older in the US and 12 months and older in Europe.
