Menhycia is a quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4) developed by CanSino Biologics for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135. The vaccine consists of capsular polysaccharides from each of the four serogroups, each individually conjugated to the CRM197 carrier protein, which is a non-toxic mutant of the diphtheria toxin. This conjugation converts the T-cell independent polysaccharide antigens into T-cell dependent antigens, significantly enhancing immunogenicity and inducing immunological memory, particularly in infants and young children. Approved by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in December 2021, it was the first quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine to be marketed in China, providing broader protection than the previously available bivalent or polysaccharide-only vaccines.
