Overview
ACYW135 is a quadrivalent meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine developed by Beijing Minhai Biotechnology (a subsidiary of Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products). It is indicated for the prevention of epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, Y, and W135. The vaccine is composed of purified capsular polysaccharides from each of these four serogroups. Upon administration, it stimulates the immune system to produce serogroup-specific bactericidal antibodies, providing active immunity against invasive meningococcal disease. It is typically used in children and adults aged 2 years and older.
