Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Quadri Meningo is a quadrivalent meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine developed and manufactured by BiO-MeD Private Limited. It is indicated for the active immunization of adults and children against invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135. The vaccine is composed of purified capsular polysaccharides from each of these four serogroups. It is typically administered via subcutaneous injection and is used to prevent meningitis and septicaemia in individuals at risk, including travelers to endemic areas and during outbreaks. As a polysaccharide vaccine, it induces a T-cell independent immune response, leading to the production of bactericidal antibodies that facilitate complement-mediated killing of the bacteria.
