Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IH + Hib-MenC/NVC refers to a combination vaccine regimen consisting of the co-administration of two GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) products: **Menitorix** and **Infanrix Penta**. Menitorix is a combined conjugate vaccine containing Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and Neisseria meningitidis serogroup C (MenC) antigens, both conjugated to a tetanus toxoid carrier. Infanrix Penta is a pentavalent vaccine that protects against diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis (DTPa), hepatitis B (HBV), and inactivated poliovirus (IPV). This combination regimen is used in pediatric immunization schedules to provide comprehensive protection against seven infectious diseases. It was evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials to demonstrate that the co-administration of these vaccines is safe and maintains the immunogenicity of all individual components compared to other standard-of-care combinations like Infanrix Hexa.
