Overview
This essential oils-based mouthwash formulation, containing menthol, thymol, and eucalyptus in a 24% alcohol base, was developed and evaluated by the Medical University of Plovdiv in collaboration with ROSAIMPEX LTD. It is indicated for the treatment of generalized gingivitis, where it exerts antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects to reduce dental plaque and gingival inflammation. In a Phase 4 randomized controlled trial (NCT04733196), the formulation demonstrated significant clinical efficacy in improving gingival health indices when used as a twice-daily oral rinse for 21 days.
