Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hexun Biosciences is developing an allogeneic mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy for the treatment of heart failure associated with coronary artery disease (HF-CAD). The therapy leverages the regenerative and immunomodulatory properties of MSCs, which are capable of multilineage differentiation and secreting paracrine factors to promote tissue repair and reduce inflammation in the damaged myocardium. The program is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, specifically targeting safety in severe heart failure patients before potentially expanding to the broader CAD population. Hexun is also exploring the same MSC platform for other indications including frailty, chronic kidney disease, and graft-versus-host disease.
