Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy developed by the Vinmec Center for Stem Cells and Gene Technology is an advanced cell-based intervention designed for anti-aging and rejuvenation. This therapy utilizes the multipotent properties of MSCs, which are typically harvested from autologous or allogeneic sources such as umbilical cord tissue or adipose tissue. The primary mechanism of action involves the secretome—a complex mixture of growth factors, cytokines, and exosomes—that promotes tissue regeneration, enhances collagen synthesis, and modulates the immune system to reduce chronic low-grade inflammation (often termed inflammaging). By counteracting cellular senescence and stimulating endogenous repair mechanisms, the therapy aims to improve skin quality, organ function, and overall vitality. It is currently being investigated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials to assess safety and efficacy in rejuvenation applications.
