Acibadem Labcell is developing an autologous cell therapy consisting of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from the patient's own adipose tissue for the treatment of chronic autoimmune urticaria. These MSCs are utilized for their immunomodulatory and regenerative properties, which aim to regulate aberrant immune responses in patients who have not responded to conventional treatments. The therapy is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, where it is being evaluated for safety and effectiveness in refractory chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) patients. The mechanism involves the immunomodulatory effects of MSCs, which can help regulate immune responses in chronic autoimmune urticaria patients.
