Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are multipotent stromal cells being evaluated by Fujian Medical University for co-transplantation during allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). These cells possess significant immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and pro-angiogenic properties. In the context of allo-HSCT, MSCs are intended to facilitate hematopoietic engraftment, reduce the incidence and severity of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), and prevent graft failure by modulating the recipient's immune environment and supporting the bone marrow niche. The therapy is typically administered intravenously alongside the hematopoietic stem cell graft to improve overall survival and reduce transplant-related complications.
