Overview
This investigational cell therapy consists of allogeneic bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) developed by the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre in Brazil. It is designed to treat severe COVID-19, specifically targeting acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and the associated systemic inflammatory cascade. The therapy works through immunomodulatory and tissue-regenerative mechanisms, aiming to mitigate cytokine storms and promote organ repair.
