Mesothelin CAR-T is an experimental chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by YaKe Biotechnology for the treatment of various solid tumors. The therapy involves engineering a patient's T cells to express a CAR that specifically targets mesothelin (MSLN), a cell-surface glycoprotein that is highly expressed in several cancers—such as mesothelioma, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, and lung adenocarcinoma—while maintaining limited expression in normal tissues. Once infused back into the patient, these engineered T cells recognize and bind to mesothelin-expressing tumor cells, triggering T-cell activation and subsequent tumor cell lysis. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of evaluation.
