Overview
Meta D3 Nano Shots is a high-potency oral liquid formulation of cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) developed by Matins Pharma. Each unit typically contains 60,000 IU of cholecalciferol, utilizing a nano-emulsion delivery system designed to improve the solubility and absorption of this fat-soluble vitamin. Once ingested, cholecalciferol undergoes hydroxylation in the liver and kidneys to form its active metabolite, calcitriol. Calcitriol binds to the Vitamin D receptor (VDR), a nuclear transcription factor, which then modulates the expression of genes involved in calcium and phosphate homeostasis. This product is primarily used for the treatment and prevention of Vitamin D deficiency and associated bone disorders such as osteoporosis and osteomalacia.
