Metformin + liraglutide is a fixed-dose combination therapy used primarily for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity, particularly in patients who have not achieved adequate glycemic or weight control with monotherapy. Metformin is a biguanide antihyperglycemic agent that decreases hepatic glucose production, increases insulin sensitivity, and enhances peripheral glucose uptake.
