Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of methotrexate and hydrocortisone, primarily administered intrathecally (directly into the cerebrospinal fluid). This combination is used to treat or prevent central nervous system involvement in various conditions, particularly in aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma and leukemia. Studies have shown that prophylactic intrathecal methotrexate and hydrocortisone can reduce CNS recurrence and improve survival rates in patients with aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
