Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Methotrexate (MTX) and mitomycin C (MMC) is a combination chemotherapy regimen used primarily in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. This combination has shown efficacy in patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor type 2 (HER2)-negative metastatic breast cancer who have been previously treated with multiple regimens including anthracycline, taxane, capecitabine, and vinorelbine. The combination has demonstrated effectiveness even in cases resistant to newer drugs such as eribulin and bevacizumab with paclitaxel.
