This treatment regimen consists of concurrent chemoradiation using weekly methotrexate as a radiosensitizer alongside Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). Developed by Fudan University, it is specifically investigated for patients with previously untreated, low-risk stage IE nasal extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL). Methotrexate, an antimetabolite that inhibits dihydrofolate reductase, is administered at a dose of 40 mg/m² to enhance the efficacy of the 50 Gy radiotherapy. The regimen aims to provide a superior and safe alternative to radiotherapy alone for patients without adverse risk factors such as B symptoms, local invasion, lymph node involvement, or high LDH levels.
