Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Miogold is an injectable vitamin B complex formulation developed by Miotic Pharmaceuticals. It contains methylcobalamin, an active form of vitamin B12, alongside pyridoxine (vitamin B6) and nicotinamide (vitamin B3). This combination is designed to address nutritional deficiencies and support neurological health. Methylcobalamin serves as a critical cofactor for methionine synthase, which is essential for DNA synthesis and the maintenance of the myelin sheath in the nervous system. Pyridoxine is converted into pyridoxal phosphate, a cofactor for numerous enzymes involved in amino acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis. Nicotinamide is a precursor to the coenzymes nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP), which are vital for cellular redox reactions and energy production. Miogold is typically indicated for the management of peripheral neuropathies, megaloblastic anemia, and general vitamin B complex deficiencies.
