Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of methylene blue dye and technetium-99m sulfur colloid used primarily for sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) in breast cancer and melanoma patients. The combination provides both visual identification through blue staining (methylene blue) and radioactive detection capabilities (technetium-99m), resulting in higher detection rates and lower false-negative rates compared to using either agent alone.
