Metoprolol + amiodarone is a combination of two pharmaceutical agents used primarily in the management of cardiac arrhythmias and related cardiovascular conditions. Metoprolol is a selective β1-adrenoceptor (beta-1 adrenergic receptor) blocker that reduces heart rate, myocardial contractility, and blood pressure by antagonizing sympathetic stimulation of the heart.
