This is a combination regimen consisting of three components: - **mFOLFOX7** is a modified version of the FOLFOX chemotherapy regimen, which includes folinic acid (leucovorin), fluorouracil (5-FU), and oxaliplatin. These agents work synergistically to inhibit DNA synthesis and cell division in rapidly dividing cancer cells. Folinic acid enhances the effect of fluorouracil, while oxaliplatin causes DNA crosslinking leading to apoptosis[1][2][4]. - **Bevacizumab** is a monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), inhibiting angiogenesis required for tumor growth. - **Sintilimab** is a monoclonal antibody that targets programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) on T-cells, acting as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. This combination has been investigated primarily for advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer but may be explored in other solid tumors as well.
