MGTA-145 + plerixafor is a **combination drug** regimen used to mobilize hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) in the peripheral blood for collection prior to autologous or allogeneic stem cell transplantation. **MGTA-145** (gro-beta truncate, GROβT) is a cytokine analog acting as a **CXCR2 agonist**, while **plerixafor** (brand name Mozobil, also known as AMD3100) is a **CXCR4 antagonist**. Together, these act synergistically to induce the rapid egress of HSCs and progenitor cells into peripheral blood, enabling efficient stem cell collection, typically within 1–2 days. This combination has been studied in multiple myeloma and other transplant contexts and may reduce mobilization time and toxicity compared to conventional regimens using granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF). Adverse events are typically mild and transient, with the most common side effect being brief, grade 1 pain after MGTA-145 infusion[1][3][5][7].
