midazolam + olorofim

Midazolam is a short-acting benzodiazepine used for sedation before procedures or surgery, treatment of anxiety and seizures, and as an adjunct in anesthesia. It acts primarily as a positive allosteric modulator at the GABA(A) receptor benzodiazepine binding site in the central nervous system to produce sedative, anxiolytic, muscle relaxant, anticonvulsant, hypnotic and amnesic effects[1][2][3][6]. Olorofim (F901318) is a first-in-class antifungal agent from the orotomide class. It inhibits fungal dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH), disrupting pyrimidine biosynthesis essential for fungal cell survival. Olorofim is under late-stage clinical development for invasive aspergillosis and invasive scedosporiosis[4][5]. The combination of midazolam + olorofim may be studied to assess drug-drug interactions or safety profiles but does not represent an approved fixed-dose combination.
