Overview

A combination of mifepristone and oxytocin used primarily for second-trimester pregnancy termination. Mifepristone blocks progesterone receptors, sensitizing the myometrium to contractions, while oxytocin stimulates uterine contractions. This combination has shown significantly higher success rates and shorter time intervals to abortion compared to either agent alone or placebo.
