Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HALOSTER F is an alcohol-free topical solution containing a combination of minoxidil and finasteride, developed by H & W Labs. It is formulated for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss) in adults. Minoxidil acts as an ATP-sensitive potassium channel opener, promoting local vasodilation and stimulating hair follicles to transition into the active growth (anagen) phase. Finasteride is a type II 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that blocks the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the hormone responsible for hair follicle miniaturization. By combining these two complementary mechanisms, HALOSTER F provides a dual-action approach to prevent further hair loss and stimulate new hair growth directly at the scalp with minimal irritation.
