miR-125b* mimic is an experimental **microRNA replacement therapy** consisting of a synthetic mimic of microRNA-125b-2-3p, the passenger-strand miRNA commonly referred to as miR-125b*. It has been studied preclinically as an intravenously delivered RNA therapeutic for **acute myocardial infarction and ischemia-reperfusion injury**, where increasing myocardial miR-125b* levels reduced infarct size in mouse models.
