Drug intelligence / Profile preview
miR-19b-3p mimic + miR-132-3p mimic + miR-31-5p mimic + miR-92a-3p inhibitor is a microRNA (miRNA) cocktail designed to promote diabetic wound healing. Developed by researchers at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union College, the cocktail targets multiple critical phases of wound repair, including inflammation, re-epithelialization, granulation tissue formation, and angiogenesis. It comprises locked nucleic acid (LNA)-modified mimics of miR-19b-3p, miR-132-3p, and miR-31-5p, alongside an inhibitor of miR-92a-3p, delivered locally via in vivo-jetPEI. In preclinical murine models of acute and chronic wounds, local application of the cocktail significantly accelerated healing, attenuated inflammatory cytokine expression, reduced macrophage migration, promoted angiogenesis, and facilitated nerve regeneration.
