Overview
TGT-1409 is a small molecule pharmaceutical drug developed by Bora Pharmaceutical Holdings. It is a generic, extended-release formulation of mirabegron, a selective beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist. The drug is indicated for the treatment of urinary tract disorders, specifically overactive bladder (OAB) characterized by symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency, and urinary frequency. By targeting and activating beta-3 adrenergic receptors in the detrusor muscle of the bladder, mirabegron promotes muscle relaxation during the storage phase of the micturition cycle, thereby increasing bladder capacity without affecting the voiding phase. TGT-1409 is part of Bora's portfolio of high-barrier generics and has received regulatory approval from the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA).
