Drug intelligence / Profile preview
zotemtegrast + Omvoh (mirikizumab) is an investigational combination therapy being developed by Eli Lilly and Company for the treatment of moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis. The combination consists of zotemtegrast (formerly MORF-057), an orally bioavailable, small-molecule selective inhibitor of alpha4beta7 integrin, and Omvoh (mirikizumab), an approved humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that selectively targets the p19 subunit of interleukin-23 (IL-23). By combining these two distinct mechanisms of action—blocking leukocyte trafficking to the gut via alpha4beta7 integrin inhibition and reducing systemic and local inflammation via IL-23 pathway blockade—the combination aims to deliver enhanced induction efficacy and sustained clinical remission in patients with moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis who have had inadequate responses to conventional or advanced therapies. The combination is currently being evaluated in the Phase 2 TOPAZ-UC clinical trial.
