Overview

The combination **mirvetuximab soravtansine + bevacizumab + carboplatin** is under clinical investigation as a regimen for treating recurrent, platinum-sensitive or platinum-resistant epithelial ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, and primary peritoneal cancer. Mirvetuximab soravtansine is an antibody-drug conjugate that targets folate receptor alpha (FRα) via a humanized monoclonal antibody and delivers the cytotoxic maytansinoid DM4, a tubulin inhibitor. Bevacizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), inhibiting angiogenesis. Carboplatin is a platinum compound that forms DNA crosslinks, disrupting DNA repair and leading to apoptosis. This triplet is used in regimens where folate receptor alpha expression is detected in tumors. The combination is highly active in recurrent, platinum-sensitive cases, showing high objective response rates and durable progression-free survival, with the main dose-limiting toxicity being thrombocytopenia[3][5].
