Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of mistletoe extract (derived from Viscum album) and pamidronate (a bisphosphonate). Mistletoe extract stimulates anti-cancer Vγ9Vδ2 T cells through butyrophilin BTN3A-dependent mechanisms, while pamidronate works by slowing bone breakdown, increasing bone density, and decreasing calcium release from bones into the blood. The combination may potentially offer synergistic effects through reciprocal activating interaction between dendritic cells and pamidronate-stimulated gammadelta T cells.
