**MK-1484 + pembrolizumab** is an investigational combination of two immunotherapies evaluated in advanced or metastatic solid tumors. MK-1484 is a PEGylated interleukin-2 (IL-2) analog engineered for improved half-life and reduced toxicity compared to native IL-2, designed to activate immune cells and boost anti-tumor effects. Pembrolizumab is a well-known monoclonal antibody targeting PD-1 (programmed death-1) receptor, releasing inhibition of immune cells and enhancing anti-tumor immunity. This combination is intended to synergistically enhance the immune system's ability to recognize and fight cancer, leveraging complementary mechanisms: MK-1484 stimulates immune activation, while pembrolizumab blocks immune suppression. The combination is currently in phase 1 clinical development for patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors who have progressed on or are intolerant to standard therapy. MK-1484 is given subcutaneously and pembrolizumab intravenously, both every three weeks, for up to two years or 35 cycles[1][3][5].
