Overview

MK-4830 + MK-0482 is a combination of two investigational monoclonal antibodies, MK-4830 and MK-0482, being evaluated primarily for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, especially non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). MK-4830 targets immunoglobulin-like transcript 4 (ILT4) and acts as a checkpoint inhibitor to promote anti-tumor immunity. MK-0482 targets leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor subfamily B member 4 (LILRB4, also referred to as ILT3), which is implicated in immunosuppression within the tumor microenvironment. Both antibodies are designed to improve the efficacy of immunotherapies by modulating distinct myeloid cell checkpoint pathways. Developed by Merck Sharp & Dohme (a subsidiary of Merck & Co), this combination is being studied for synergy, often combined with pembrolizumab, another checkpoint inhibitor targeting PD-1. Current research is focused on advanced solid tumors, especially NSCLC and triple-negative breast cancer[3][6][7][8].
