MK0767 + insulin

MK0767 + insulin is an investigational combination therapy designed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. MK0767 is a small molecule dual agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα) and gamma (PPARγ), intended to enhance insulin sensitivity and exert robust hypolipidemic effects[1]. Insulin is a peptide hormone essential for lowering blood glucose. Studies investigated the efficacy of adding MK0767 to ongoing insulin therapy, targeting patients with inadequate glycemic control on insulin alone[2].
