MK2-23 + interleukin-2 refers to a specific combination therapy consisting of the investigational compound MK2-23 with interleukin-2 (IL-2). While interleukin-2 is a recombinant cytokine used in immunotherapy (notably for its roles in stimulating immune effector and regulatory T cells), there is currently no publicly available evidence or published literature describing MK2-23 (as a drug or compound) used in combination with IL-2. No clinical trials, approvals, or mechanistic studies on "MK2-23" itself—either as a single agent or in combination—were found within the most recent research results. IL-2 alone, and in combination with other drugs (e.g., methotrexate, checkpoint inhibitors such as pembrolizumab or nivolumab, or interferon-alpha), has been extensively studied for cancer and autoimmune disease immunotherapy[4][5][6]. MK2-23 is not referenced in any combination with IL-2 in this context. The mechanism of IL-2 as a drug is to modulate the immune response by activating cytotoxic T-cells, NK cells, and expanding regulatory T-cells depending on dose[3][4][6]. No mechanism of action, developer, or indication is reported for MK2-23 in any available sources.
