Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**MLN2480 + paclitaxel** is an investigational combination therapy consisting of MLN2480 (also known as TAK-580), a small molecule pan-RAF inhibitor (targeting ARAF, BRAF, and CRAF kinases), with paclitaxel, a microtubule stabilizer widely used as a chemotherapeutic. MLN2480 inhibits RAF kinases, thereby blocking the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway that is frequently upregulated in cancer. Paclitaxel disrupts cell division by stabilizing microtubules and promoting apoptosis. This combination is being evaluated in adult patients with advanced nonhematologic malignancies, particularly those who have failed standard therapies.
