Overview

MLTA3698A + DMARD is a combination therapy investigated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. MLTA3698A, also known as pateclizumab, is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting lymphotoxin-alpha (LTA), an inflammatory cytokine implicated in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis. In clinical trials, MLTA3698A was administered with a disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD), such as methotrexate or leflunomide, which inhibit inflammatory pathways and are standard in RA treatment. This combination was assessed against adalimumab (a TNF inhibitor) plus a DMARD in a Phase 2 trial in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis to evaluate comparative safety and efficacy[1][3][5][6][7].
