Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MMR + YF refers to the co-administration of two vaccines: the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccine and the Yellow Fever (YF) vaccine. These are both live attenuated virus vaccines that are sometimes administered together in childhood vaccination schedules, particularly in yellow fever endemic areas. Studies have shown that while co-administration is generally effective in producing seroconversion for all antigens, there may be some impact on immunogenicity for certain components, particularly rubella antibody concentrations and yellow fever titers which can be lower when the vaccines are administered simultaneously compared to when they are given separately.
