Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MMX is an investigational oral small-molecule antitumor agent developed by CYGNOS BioTech for the treatment of Stage II and Stage III oral canine malignant melanoma. In vitro studies have demonstrated its ability to inhibit cell proliferation in melanoma cells, and pilot clinical studies in canine subjects have shown significant tumor reduction. The drug has been granted a 'Minor Use' designation by the FDA, facilitating the pursuit of a Conditional New Animal Drug Application (CNADA). While its specific molecular target is currently undisclosed, it represents a novel oral therapeutic approach for advanced melanoma in veterinary medicine.
