Overview
Modified Liujunzi Decoction (MLD) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula derived from the classic Liujunzi Decoction, which is traditionally used to treat 'Spleen-Stomach Qi Deficiency.' The modified version is specifically formulated to address chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG), particularly in patients who have undergone *Helicobacter pylori* eradication. MLD is composed of multiple herbal ingredients that work synergistically to improve gastric mucosal health, alleviate clinical symptoms such as epigastric pain and bloating, and potentially reverse precancerous lesions like intestinal metaplasia. In clinical research conducted by Peking University First Hospital, MLD is administered as an oral decoction to evaluate its efficacy in preventing the progression of CAG to gastric cancer.
