Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Moluodan + Sanchi powder is a combination traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapy developed by Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It consists of Moluodan, a Chinese patent medicine, and Sanchi powder, derived from *Panax notoginseng*. The combination is designed to treat gastric premalignant lesions, specifically in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis accompanied by low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia or indefinite dysplasia. It operates on the TCM principles of 'Jianpi Huoxue,' which involves strengthening the spleen and promoting blood circulation to improve the health of the gastric mucosa and eliminate neoplastic lesions. The therapy is currently being evaluated in multi-center clinical trials to assess its efficacy in improving the elimination rate of gastric intraepithelial neoplasia compared to standard folic acid treatment.
