Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Montanide ISA 720 is a proprietary water-in-oil vaccine-emulsion adjuvant manufactured by Seppic. It comprises a metabolizable non-mineral oil phase and a refined mannide monooleate-family emulsifier. When combined with an antigen-containing aqueous phase, it forms a depot at the injection site that can slow antigen release and enhance antigen-specific cellular and humoral immune responses. It was evaluated as an adjuvant for the investigational MVA-BN yellow fever vaccine in a completed Phase 1 NIAID-sponsored study in healthy adults.
