morphine + glucagon

Morphine + glucagon is a combination of two drugs, morphine and glucagon. Morphine is an opioid analgesic that acts primarily on the central nervous system to relieve moderate to severe pain by binding to and activating the mu-opioid receptor, resulting in analgesia, sedation, and euphoria. Glucagon is a peptide hormone used mainly for the treatment of severe hypoglycemia and as a diagnostic aid in radiologic exams; it works by activating hepatic glucagon receptors, stimulating glycogenolysis and increasing blood glucose levels. There are no widely recognized or approved pharmaceutical products combining these two agents into a single formulation or therapy.
