Overview
Mosapride citrate + DA-9701 is a combination therapy being investigated for the treatment of functional dyspepsia. It combines mosapride citrate, a selective 5-HT4 receptor agonist that promotes gastric emptying by stimulating acetylcholine release, with DA-9701 (Motilitone), a botanical drug extract from *Corydalis Tuber* and *Pharbitidis Semen*. DA-9701 possesses a multi-target mechanism of action, acting as a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist and a serotonin 5-HT4 and 5-HT1A receptor agonist. These combined actions are intended to provide synergistic effects on prokinetics, gastric fundus relaxation, and visceral analgesia. The combination is currently being studied in a prospective, randomized, double-blind trial led by Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital to compare its efficacy against mosapride monotherapy.
