moxifloxacin + fluconazole

This is a combination of two pharmaceutical drugs: moxifloxacin and fluconazole. Moxifloxacin, marketed under the brand name Vigamox when used as an ophthalmic solution, is a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, thereby blocking DNA replication and transcription in susceptible bacteria. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis and other infections caused by susceptible organisms[2][3][6][8]. Fluconazole, commonly known by its brand name Diflucan, is a triazole antifungal agent that inhibits fungal cytochrome P450 enzyme 14α-demethylase, disrupting ergosterol synthesis required for fungal cell membrane integrity. It is used to treat various systemic and mucosal fungal infections[5]. There are no approved fixed-dose combination products containing both agents; however, they may be co-administered in clinical practice for concurrent bacterial and fungal infections if indicated.
