Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination antibiotic regimen consisting of moxifloxacin (a fluoroquinolone antibiotic) and meropenem (a carbapenem antibiotic). This combination provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial coverage and has been studied for the treatment of severe sepsis and septic shock. Clinical trials have shown that the combination does not provide significant advantages over meropenem monotherapy in reducing organ failure or mortality in patients with severe sepsis.
