Overview

This is an investigator-initiated, personalized mRNA-based cancer vaccine developed for the treatment of advanced gastric cancer. Led by Dr. Shen Lin at Peking University Cancer Hospital, the vaccine utilizes messenger RNA technology to encode patient-specific tumor neoantigens—unique protein fragments derived from somatic mutations identified within an individual's tumor. By delivering these mRNA sequences, the vaccine aims to prime and expand the patient's own T-cell repertoire to recognize and eliminate cancer cells expressing these specific neoantigens. The vaccine is being evaluated in clinical trials both as a monotherapy and in combination with PD-1/L1 checkpoint inhibitors to enhance anti-tumor immune responses in patients who have failed standard treatments.
